Andy Kongsakul, O.D.

Dr. Andy Kongsakul, born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Irvine, and his Doctorate of Optometry from the State University of New York College of Optometry.

Following his tenure as an attending optometrist at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in New York City, Dr. K established prominent practices in the San Fernando Valley: Valley Optometry Eyecare Center in Reseda, and El Portal Optometry in the NoHo Arts District

He actively participates in professional organizations such as the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, San Fernando Valley Optometric Society, and Asian American Optometric Society. Fluent in Spanish and Thai, Dr. Kongsakul establishes strong connections with his diverse patient base.​

Driven by a commitment to community service, Dr. Kongsakul volunteered at the LACHC clinic in downtown LA, assisting the homeless in Skid Row. He also participated in humanitarian missions with Unite for Sight, delivering essential eye care to underserved villages in Ghana.

Dr. K enjoy spending time with his wife and two children, exploring various cuisines, attending concerts, traveling, snowboarding, and passionately supporting the Lakers.
